Dirt jumps

Yesterday Aaron and myself went out to do some dirt jumping. He was partying on his raleigh as 29r we just rebuilt and I was on my On One 456. Good times were had and even better crashes were had! Now to heal up so I can ride again. 

Novara express commuter

Today we put together this Novara express. When it was brought to us it had two broken shifters rusted chain and felt like you were grinding pebbles. So we stripped it down to a 1x9 with a new Deore trigger shifter,threw a new chain on, did a full service on all the bearings and put new cables all around. The customer had that front spinergy and decided to have us put that on for fun. We really hope he loves his new commuter set up! 

Fridays tune up of the day.

The last bike in our stand was a fully rigid raleigh SS 29r. We gave it a new life by adding a rockshox fork, trued the wheels, brake adjustment and as much of an over haul as a SS can get. I am pretty happy to have worked on this one!

What do you do when you get a new wheelset and brakes have to get then home when you ride to and from everywhere? Ziptie those items to a front rack on a road bike duh! I received some pretty awesome looks carrying mountain bike parts on my road bike!

Cool frames and making them modern. Here is an older cannondale cad2 frameset that we installed a mix of SRAM rival and apex on to be a daily commuter/weekend adventure bike!

FREE Mtb Shuttles
This Sunday. 10am-4pm. Central Coast Brewing.
This Sunday May 4th (10am - 4pm) we will be running FREE SHUTTLES from Central Coast Brewing to the top of Cuesta Grade. Yes you heard me right, all you have to do is show up, sign a waiver, and we will take you to the parking lot next to 101.

FASTA (Freeride And Sustainable Trails Association) will be hosting the event for FREE because of a grant we received from Ride Share/Bike Month.

After you session The Eucs Grove a few times, come back to the brewery for a FREE TACOS & Soda provided by Ride Share. Beer specials will be going on at CCB.

Shred sleds!

Yesterday a group of us headed up to Wofford heights, Ca to ride the Just outstanding trail! When we got to the top we found a little something we didn't expect. But it turned out to be miserably awesome and I would do it again in a heart beat. The snow slowed us down a little bit but as we started getting further down the trail we ended out ride with smiles and full of enjoyment! 

Things got a little dirty and sloppy. It was awesome!

Location

Grizzly Cycles location will be on the east side of Bakersfield, CA. We are wanting to be as close to the trails as possible! We are still narrowing down a final location but have about 3 or 4 prime spots! Keep checking back for updates!

Advocacy

Bakersfield has some amazing local trails! We at Grizzly Cycles will do everything we can to help advocate for responsible trail use as well as trail building. Let's keep Kern county awesome!
